Change your direct debit details

A Direct Debit offers you a choice of payment dates and you can spread your bill over instalments at no extra cost.


This form can be used to do the following:

  • Amend the date/day or frequency of a direct debit.
  • Amend the bank details you use to pay.

Amending direct debit amount

If you want to amend the existing amount of an instalment on your direct debit, please call us on 0800 052 0145 as we will just need to check you'll be paying enough to cover your bill in time.

What you'll need to complete this form

  • Your Welsh Water account reference number This can be found in the top right corner of your bill, on your My Account dashboard, or the reference on your payment if you pay by direct debit.
  • Bank details Bank account number, sort code, bank or building society name, bank account holder
  • Permission from account holder If applicable
  • Date & amount of last payment If applicable
  • Date of when you moved into the property If applicable
